What Brinde does
Brinde is a happy hour discovery app for Chicago. We help you find, save, and rate happy hours at local bars and restaurants.
What we collect
- Account info — your email address when you sign up. If you use Sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them.
- Location — only if you choose to use the distance filter. We never store your location; it's used only in the moment to sort nearby venues.
- Swipes and favorites — which venues you've loved, skipped, or saved. This powers community scores and your personal history.
- Insider tips — any tips you submit are stored publicly and attributed to your account anonymously.
- Venue suggestions — if you suggest a venue, we store the submission details along with your account ID.
How we use it
- To run the app and show you relevant happy hours
- To calculate community scores on venues based on swipe data
- To save your favorites across devices
- To send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset)
We do not sell your data. We do not send marketing emails. We do not share personal information with third parties except as described below.
Third parties we use
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Your data lives on Supabase servers.
- Google Maps & Places — venue photos and maps. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — app hosting. Governs server logs and request metadata.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app — go to Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. You can also contact us at hello@brinde.buzz for any privacy-related requests.
User-generated content
Insider tips and venue suggestions submitted by users are moderated. We may remove content that is false, harmful, or violates our Terms of Service. Users can report content by contacting us.
Children
Brinde is intended for users 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21.
